Below are step-by-step instructions on how to connect to your KashFlow Company. The Quick Connect is the easiest and most straightforward method. The Advanced Connect contains a few more steps and adds an extra level of security to KashFlow's authentication process with this HSBC_IDS application (both connections are secure).

The first step is to 'Enable API' within KashFlow, this is to allow the connector to talk to the KashFlow application and access your company data. Please go into KashFlow and click Apps in the left-hand side, then click 'API Settings'. The API settings are now visible. Please ensure 'Enabled' and 'Same password as web login' is checked. All other options should be unchecked for this connection method. Now please return to your registration link, enter your user name and password to log into KashFlow followed by clicking the 'Authorise' button.

Please ensure you create a Separate API password that differs from your KashFlow login password. Click this step to see the image on left which demonstrate which options should be checked. Now please copy the generated key and click the 'Update' button. Now please return to your registration link, enter your user name, password to log into KashFlow and the paste the generated key in the 'Optional AutoAuth Key' field followed by clicking the 'Authorise' button.
